It was, of course, natural that Patrick would love steam engines. One of his first words was "Mallard!" (seriously), and I'll never forgot the time in the shop at Embsay when I showed him a picture and asked him what it was. He replied, with great seriousness "Tity uv Twuwro" which has been his favourite engine ever since.

Here he is when only a year old, probably looking at a picture of Flying Scotsman. That's my shoulder in the background, and that's the most of me you'll actually see on the site, not that it will help you recognize me, because I only wear that jumper for DIY these days.
